Online Purchase Acer Aspire TimelineX AS4820T-3697 14-Inch Reviewed by drenchedinwine (NYC)
I bought this laptop for College alum after looking in several thin and light notebook with camp life in progress. I commute several hours to charity and the blockade of the campus or the sound throughout the day, so I capital, a laptop that was almost glowing in the schlep, and take other field Activities, stand all day after saw the adoption My laptop is made from processing mostly Sailing, instant monitoring cinema, and occasionally Arena games. Initially I bought ASUS UL80, but the trackpad was unbearable, so I alternate. Then I bought this model, I am truly blessed so far.
Weight / size / battery: It's too easy … pungent than the Asus, but the weight still passable. Actually absorbs and volumes, as advertised. Mine has 9 cell box protruding and definitely add to the weight - laptop collapsed because the field is just an overhang. On the other hand, apparently helps to accumulate calefaction laptop receiptto blow the air (btw, the laptop does not accept control calefaction acceptable), but the concept is that if you actually put your laptop on the lap of the race annoying because it sits in the legs, but this is a hair accessory in the soup. I have not allowed for the activity of matrix far ahead, but I'm used to array the laptop for about four hours with a lot of indicator matrix still full.
Build quality: It has a good result in opaque metal, not axes up fingerprints easily. The width of the keyboard is illuminated plastic atramentous, but refuse to boards or fingerprints. (ETA: If I have beaten only the surfaces of the leaves will not print. But if I / slide on my finger spreads, it will leave marks. The tent will Printy, but not the width of the trackpad.) There are some points of view in blind and the keyboard, but it worries me because it's not as if the laptop screen or accounting will breeze both halves. The tent is very damp, and so I can see how some people might be interestedAbout Sustainability … but again, I do not see how you can use normal break.
Screen: For me the 14 "screen is a good compromise - not too big to schlep, but not too cramped for typing and watch movies o. I am not an expert in graphic design, but for me, the colors and look so good . I m not used to the aspect ratio, though, so things seem bigger than I used horizontally.
Keyboard: I like how the buttons look - like flat rocks floating in space. Neither keystrokes or chiclet old school. They feel a bit 'different and I'll get used to, but I can type with ease. They keys are very quiet but nothing outrageous. There is no keyboard, but I like having written an existing keyboard keys that you can use if you press Fn. I do not like you must use two hands to press Fn and multimedia keys for controlling the media, if your (ie play, stop, volume, etc.). The Fn key is all the way left, and all thas media control keys are all right so you can not do things like pause music with one hand. The key placement is not very intuitive or - volume up / down are on the steering F8 while muted. I wish the laptop had dedicated buttons for things like physical control of the media and wireless. Furthermore, the arrow keys are about half the size of normal keys, I do not like. I'm so picky - the keyboard is usually quite functional and easy to use.
Trackpad: The trackpad is comfortable to use - either below or hypersensitive. The Multi-Touch gestures is easy and intuitive. The pinching gesture to zoom is very useful for me because it is not superfluous. I never use horizontal films, because the screen is so wide that it is generally not necessary to scroll sideways. I do not tend to use two fingers to scroll is why I prefer to use the scroll box on the right side of the trackpad (which is a bit 'ridiculous that there are three ways Annals corner on the trackpad - Annals area, two fingers, spiral). If you desire to use two rolls of sensors must be respected in order to earn your fingers far away copious annals as two fingers. Left / right buttons bang is only a single bar under the trackpad. They are easy to choose, but I have ambitions that had recovered two buttons. The touchpad is wrong and accumbent unlikely left-handed keyboard, so I usually bang too many average, if I aspire to click on the port side, and accept my challenge to accelerate the port to complete the project and re-adjust my Duke stunned the keyboard. I'm not even respect it is off center back this archetype does not accept a significant quantity, and is not centered with the bar amplitude. It is not annoying, but something I'm honest I can not acclimatise quickly.
Speed: 3.5 years old I had a laptop with a Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM, Windows 7 that active support this, with throughput of character. This would be a minute on extensive available firefox-offs, and sometimes decide to copy / paste some text was too much work and freeze. I tried the new Asus also had these specifications and it was only a little 'less mediocre speed than my old laptop. This Acer laptop is much faster. I did not try anything crazy ride on it, but for simple multitasking (eg Firefox + word + utorrent gridrepublic +) worked really well. I found myself always waiting for things to open … more than a few seconds at times. For simplicity, the use of students every day, this laptop fast and frustration-free. For me the perfect blend of performance and portability - a desktop replacement that can take anywhere.
Guts: I'm a fan of Windows 7 Come with uninstalling unwanted stuff though … but what does not.
Webcam: It is obviously not the quality of digital camera resolution, but is good for a webcam. I only wish there was an indicator light to show when he was away. Acer Crystal Eye webcam software has beenfriendly and easy to understand, unlike the software for my old HP camera.
Multimedia: Can not comment much in the standings because I have not played any games, so you can see the crazy, everything went well. The sound is not great, but fairly standard, such as laptops go. I wish the speakers were on the edge of the laptop, but in order to close the laptop and still listen to music.
ETA: Here are some numbers on my experience as a Windows computer to an objective measure of performance:
Processor: 6.8
Memory (RAMs): 5.9
Graphics: 4.7
The gaming graphics: 5.1
Primary Hard Disk: 5.8
I hope my review useful! I do not understand the technical specifications or things, because you can simply scroll to the Amazon description of this. Overall, I recommend this laptop for students from other villages. I am very happy with my purchase. I'll post an update if anything happens.
